Hungarian author Laszlo Krasznahorkai wins the Nobel Prize in literature

Hungarian author Laszlo Krasznahorkai, whose philosophical, bleakly humorous novels typically unfold in single sentences, gained the Nobel Prize in literature Thursday for his “compelling and visionary oeuvre that, within the midst of apocalyptic terror, reaffirms the facility of artwork.”
